With an Olympic Volleyball program that has flourished and expanded its reach for over thirty year s, it is without a doubt the most successful program in the country. The national team, also known as the `Malkia Strikers`, has also established itself as a dominant team at the regional, continental, and global competitions in volleyball. The team’s long-term achievements have come as a result of the organized youth development, investing into club level competitions, and the contribution of seasoned coaches who improved the tactical and technical expertise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Involvement of trained coaches for mentoring tactical and technical skills and the structured youth progression and club level competitions has, as a consequence, allowed the team to thrive over the years. Some of the well-known players are Mercy Moim, who, as captain of the Team, was a notable outside hitter during the 2021 Olympics.<\/span><\/p>\n All of these players are a consequence of the efforts of National and Club level development for volleyball in Kenya. Assisting these players, the team was adequately prepared for global competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n Finally, being able to gain a place for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics was a huge accomplishment for Kenya.
