The extent of the injury is yet to be determined, but the Gunners will be relieved knowing there is a two week international break.
Back at the Emirates, Smith Rowe scored the only goal of the game as the Gunners continued with their good run in recent weeks.
The margin could have been bigger, but Pierre Emerick Aubameyang missed a first-half penalty after Alexander Lacazette was brought down inside the box.
The win lifted the Gunners to fifth in the standings on 20 points.
